I tend to confuse those who don't know me well because I'm pretty agreeable and like a great many things in a great many genres since I've never seen a point in limiting myself. The following is a very long list o things, but if you want to read all of it, knock yourself out.

Art is Relative:

giger ° Fav Artistes: Gosh, so many! O_o I tend to like things that are more surreal, so I go with the old standbys: Kahlo, Dali. For mayhem of a contemporary bent, I like Christopher Shy. Antonio Lopez (for brilliant fashion illustration), H.R. Giger, David Carlson and Segura (for type) and Alessandro Bavari for just creating things that make you go O_o

cindy ° Photographer: Cindy Sherman, Man Ray, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diane Arbus, and Yashuri Ishimoto. Ishimoto's work in particular slays me. I like Cindy and Diane because they're not afraid to push the limits, and Mapplethorpe and Man Ray because they were ahead of their time. Now everyone wants to do pics like them, but they did it first.

statue ° Old buildings: I might like my furnishings Clockwork-Orange style, but I dearly love old buildings. It's a shame that more buildings aren't preserved. I think the greatest crime against architecture is when wonderful 100 year old houses are torn down to throw up a piece of postmodern crap that won't last half as long. Ugh.

I Am....Easily Amused:

angel ° Graphic Novels: I used to collect them for the stories but some of them have wonderful art as well. Favorites include the Sanctuary Series, Vampire: The Masquerade Clanbooks, Batman's Arkham Asylum, Peter Bagge's Hate comic, and Geisha.

angel ° Anime: Anything by the creators of Lain (and that includes the new series, Haibane Renmei). Spirited Away also v. high ranking for being the most charming, engrossing anime I've seen in a long time, along with Perfect Blue, Now and Then, Here and There , Cowboy Bebop's "Knocking on Heaven's Door"and Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust.

maori ° Movies: Once again, runs the gauntlet from classic stuff to avant-garde. I definitely prefer independent movies to big mega-studio productions. Movies that I've obsessed heavily over include The Seventh Seal, Clockers, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Princess and the Warrior, Session 9, The Ring, Bangkok Dangerous, anything by Wong Kar-wei (but especially "Fallen Angels" and "Happy Together"), Once Were Warriors, Nil by Mouth, Spirited Away, Juliet of the Spirits, Run Lola Run, The Pillow Book, and others.

ering ° Tapioca Freezes: I absolutely LOVE these damn drinks....They're so much fun...especially if you get the freezes and crystal jelly in with the tapioca. Taro, Jackfruit, Watermelon/Strawberry, Lychee, the wondrous Honeydew melon and Pineapple are my fav flavors. Cantaloupe and Coconut are two flavors that I would prefer to have mixed in with something else as they tend to be bland by themselves.

ering ° Give me your Silver, your trinkets: Luv that silvery jangly stuff. I'm not a big fan of gold (unless it's of a high concentration of gold like 54k I can't wear it) and I love Native American and ethnic jewelry from Africa and India with lots of stones like lapis, amber, turquoise and moonstones. I had a huge collection until some cracked decided to break into my apartment and relieve me of my lovelies; I have sworn death on the evil fiend. My new collection isn't as huge as the one of old, but I've still managed to get some nice pieces.
